David is an attorney specializing in finance and corporate law, both U.S. and International. His practice includes matters dealing with cross-border financings, international litigation, foreign investment in the U.S. including creating U.S. subsidiaries and affiliates, matters relating with trademark registration, and oversight and coordination of corporate operations in the U.S. He regularly works in matters dealing with the modification and harmonization of contracts and documents governed by Civil Law and utilized in common-law jurisdictions. He is a native speaker of English and Spanish, speaks French and Portuguese as second languages, and reads Catalan and Italian. David has worked on matters relating to privatizations, mergers and acquisitions, and structured financings, in Francophone and Lusophone Africa, Latin America, and various European countries including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

In addition to his private practice, David is a legal consultant to the IBRD (World Bank) in the Bank’s renewal energy Group.

He graduated in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico and received his juris doctor degree from the same university in 1982.
